This drawing has been on the wall so long, I hardly notice it any more. I was surprised, when straightening it the other day, to see the date. I drew it in 1990.
I used a photo from Cosmo magazine for the figure. She had very short hair and I wanted to add some dynamic movement. The wings came after that.
It was this drawing that spurred on my confidence in figurative work.
